Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month
at the Grange Hall located at 87th Street East and Avenue T-8.
Littlerock, California
We have some great things brewing at the Hall, the first being
our Sees Easter Candy Fundraiser for the Jr. Grange. All Proceeds go into
their treasury to help offset costs for their bedding for their animals and
hopefully help them with their entry fees for AV Fair. We have a flyer if
you would like it to add to the website.
Secondly we are planning a pre Mothers Day Pancake Breakfast.
We will be selling presale tickets for $5.00 each, at the door $8.00. There
will be a breakfast of Pancakes, Bacon, Coffee and Juice. We are looking for
Donations for the food items as well as gifts for raffle prizes. Everyone from
the valley is invited, I also have a flyer for it as well.
On May 11, 2011 we will be hosting a Ethics Training Class for
anyone that is in need of the ethics class in order to show at any California
Fair, last time we held a class we had people from the San Diego area and
Central California travel to the class. The class lasts 1 hour and all
attendees names will be turned into the State of California Fair Board
and they will receive their Certificates from them. Certificates are good for
5 years. I don't have a flyer for this one yet, still working on it.
On June 18 we will be hosting a pre Fathers Day BBQ and Fire
Prevention Awareness Day. Our day will start at 11am, BBQ Tri Tip Sandwiches,
Chips and a Drink for $8.00 presale, $10 at the door. We already have folks
from the USDA Forest Service and Smokey Bear slated, and are working on
getting folks from LA County there as well. This is still in the Planning
stages.
And as always the Grange Hall is available for rent for
Parties, meetings and other events. But dates are booking fast, currently we
have the entire month of March, April, and September booked. We have 1
weekend in May available. July has 1 booking so far as well as October.
Anyone interested can call the Grange phone. And I have a flyer
for that as well, lol.
Hey we maybe a small group of families (6) but a few of us are
working our tails off to keep the Grange alive. We are working to raise funds
to do much needed improvements on the building and always willing to take a
donation be it someone to do some sort of work (plumbing, electrical, etc)
money to help offset costs of maintaining the building (paint, parts,
etc) Anything is always appreciated, and everything is tax deductible that is
given.
Our goal is to bring the Hall back to a shiny center of the
community and to give back to the community in service, lectures and safe
events for our local families.
