Dial-A-Ride Transportation Services for Seniors in the Antelope Valley

Are you 65 years or older or do you have a disability, and reside within the Antelope Valley? If so, the Antelopi Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) offers a shared ride, curb-to-curb transportation service to assist you. Riders can apply fc Dial-a-Ride services by calling (661) 945-9445 to obtain an application.

Eligibility Requirements:

Proof of age and residency is required for riders 65 years or older. Riders under the age of 65 years require proof c residency and a letter from a physician specifying condition of disability.

Hours of Service:

 

Monday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Saturday through Sunday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve, Day after Thanksgiving: 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Service not provided on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,

Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fare/Fee:

Urban Zone: $3.00 one way

Group Rate: $1.25 one way

 

Rural Zone 1: $3.50 one way

Group Rate   $1.75 one way

 

Rural Zone 2: $6.00 one way

Group Rate:  $3.00 one way

 

* Group Rate fare is per person and applies to three or more Dial-a-Ride qualified passengers traveling from one origin to the same destination.

Call (661) 945-9445 Ext. 1 on Monday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Reservation; may be made up to three days in advance and or the same day on a first come, first served basis Same day service is provided subject to availability of vehicle, time and capacity.

Buses from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.
