The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program helps pay for services provided to eligible disabled and elderly persons so they can remain safely in their own homes. IHSS provides assistance in the following areas:

• Non-medical personal care services and assistance.

• Household chores including house cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation/clean-up, shopping and errands.

• Accompaniment to medical appointments.

• Paramedical services with the physician's authorization.
